Bradford to cash in on Deano

Hull have been warned they won’t be able to sign Dean Windass unless they stump up enough cash.

Phil Brown wants to offer the loan striker a permanent deal at the KC Stadium.

But Bantams chairman Julian Rhodes says he’s still a Bradford City player.

he told the Telegraph & Argus: ‘Dean is a Bradford City player for the next two years as it stands,’ said Bantams chairman Julian Rhodes.

‘That will remain the case until we get an acceptable offer, so everything else is irrelevant.

‘If Hull want Deano they know they’ve got to do a deal with us. If they are that keen on him, I expect them to be in touch.’

Mr Rhodes said Windass could even attract a bidding war.

‘I wouldn’t be surprised if other clubs do come in, considering how well he has done there, although nothing can be done until the transfer window opens,’ he added.
