The Bantams’ second string went down 1-0 to Leeds United last night.

In what was a fairly mediocre game for the Bantams, with the Leeds goal coming through a goalkeeping fumble, there were some bright prospects on display.

Luke Sharry was full of industry in the middle, although as suggested yesterday the absence of Furman from the reserves suggests that both Sharry and Nix find themselves behind the Rangers man.

Also putting in a good shift were the two full backs of Luke O’Brien and triallist David Ryan whose attacking support to Leon Osborne and Sean Taylforth was great to see.

Up front Rory Boulding and Barry Conlon had a blank first half and Baz will be kicking himself for putting over a good chance when he should at least have forced the keeper into a save. Such moments undermine all the good effort he puts in with his support work because he is, after all, a striker.

Billy Topp got a 45 minute run out after his hamstring injury which hopefully signals his return to involvement. Saturday is unlikely to see that involvement but with 5 games in 15 days not too far around the corner it will be soon time to see what the Bradford City squad is made of.
