It was Park Avenue that won the battle of the Bradford’s on Tuesday night as they won the Tom Banks Memorial Trophy at The Horsdall Stadium.

O’Brien (17) opened to scoring for Park Avenue but Thompson (23) soon equalised from the penalty spot for Bradford, although the hosts still went into the half time break ahead when James (36) struck.

Deacey (76) secured a 3-1 win for Bradford Park Avenue in the second half when he struck late on.

Defeat is disappointing but it needs to be put into context really as a number of apprentices were included with another four playing were turning out as trialists but the game time by summer signing Garry Thompson and Alan Connell is the real bonus from this!
