Bradford have successfully appealed the sending off of Kyle Bennett, well at least had this suspension reduced.

Bennett and Preston North End midfielder Neil Kilkenny were both shown straight red cards for a clash in the nil-nil draw at Valley Parade on Tuesday, however at the time both Phil Parkinson and Simon Grayson thought the sending offs were harsh and questioned the referees lack of “common sense”.

Bradford, and Preston, put in appeals against the sending offs and three-match suspensions they would have brought with both appeals successful.

Preston had a complete result with Kilkenny having his sending off rescinded completely, Bennett saw his red card remain in place but his suspension has been reduced to one-game, to be served against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, and not three.
