Phil Parkinson, not that he’s in a hurry, could do with bringing another ‘keeper to Bradford and if reports are right this could be Huddersfield’s former Coventry man, among others, Joe Murphy.

Championship side Huddersfield signed the 33-year-old from Coventry on a free last summer after three-years with at the Ricoh Arena but a season to forget saw him limited to just four appearances.

Murphy technically ended the season away from the John Smith’s Stadium anyway as he made an emergency 10-day loan move to Chesterfield for their League 1 play-off semi final defeat against Preston, the eventual play-off winners.

Republic of Ireland international Murphy, according to the Huddersfield Examiner, could be someone that Parkinson has an interest in with his days with Chris Powell’s side numbered, even more so following the arrival of his namesake Brian! Huddersfield are looking at former QPR ‘keeper Brian Murphy on trial as they line up his replacement….

With the experience and quality he has that could benefit the Bantams but we’ll see what actually does come of this!
