Evans can play in the centre or on the right of midfield. He scores the odd goal every now and again often from thunderous set-pieces.

Evans started his career with Shrewbury and signed professionally in 1993 when he was 19 years old. He went on to make over 200 appearances for the Gay Meadow club and scored 36 goals. He went to Brentford where he gained his first Wales cap and the attention of higher-division clubs. He played 157 games and scored 34.

From there he moved to Bradford City for the first time and despite playing 15 games was loaned to Blackpool. When he returned he forced his way into the first team but with some players returning from injury and impending doom about to hit Valley Parade, he was loaned out again, this time to Nottingham Forest.

After a month at the City Ground, Forest paid us a bargainous 25,000 for his services and he went on to be one of the best performers in Joe Kinnear's side.

After 45 appearances and four goals in his first season with Forest, Evans was not allowed to play reserve-team football and lost his fitness as a result. He went on loan to Rotherham but a knee injury cut short his time there.

n July 2006 he was offered a trial at Swindon and was integral to their promotion winning season. He is returning to Bradford City for a second time hoping to achieve something similar.
