The granddad of the Bantams' squad continues to prove that age is no barrier, top-scoring for City in 2007/08

Bradford`s elder statesman up front, Thorne has played more than 400 times in a distinguished career which has brought him more than 150 league goals, 65 of them coming in the colours of Stoke City from 1997 to 2001.

Almost £2.5million has changed hands over the years for the former Blackburn Rovers trainee and, although injuries have hampered Thorne`s progress in recent years, he still knows where the goal is having bagged 14 in his first season with the Bantams in 2007/08 - despite missing the beginning of the campaign with a hip problem.
